Stirling Schools is Celebrating Kurdistan Flag Day
December 17 is the Kurdistan Flag Day, designated by the Kurdistan Region parliament in 2009.
The Kurdish flag has three primary colours and a blazing golden sun at its centre. Red symbolises the blood of the martyrs and the continued struggle for freedom and dignity. White represents peace and equality. Green expresses the beauty and landscapes of Kurdistan, life, and vitality. Twenty-one sunbeams represent March 21 (Newroz), and the Yellow colour of the sun means the source of energy and light for the people.
Stirling Schools strives to grow a generation who will combine modern science, universal ethics, and disciplined work needed to contribute wisdom, compassion, and leadership to a global society while being dedicated to traditional values.
