High-level delegations from ALECSO and KTU visited Stirling Schools
High-level delegations from the Arab League Educational, Cultural, and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) and the Kurdistan Teachers Union (KTU) visited Ishik and Nilufar Schools of Stirling Schools Group in Erbil on September 11, 2023.
Dr. Umed Aruzery, CEO and Chairman of Stirling Schools Group, and delegations from the Erbil Schools welcomed the guests. Our students participated in the reception ceremony, which demonstrated some activities.
The delegation from the ALECSO was led by Mr. Jamal Adib Al-Hassami, President of the organization, and members of the executive board from Tunisia, Lebanon, Bahrain, Palestine, and Algeria. The delegation from the Kurdistan Teachers Union was led by Mr. Ahmad Garmiani, President of the Union, the president's deputy, and members of the secretariat.
The Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization (ALECSO) is a Tunis-based specialized institution working under the umbrella of the League of Arab States. It is essentially concerned with the development and coordination of the activities related to education, culture and sciences in the Arab World. It was established by virtue of Article 3 of the Arab Cultural Unity Charter, and was officially announced in Cairo on July 25, 1970.
The delegations were closely acquainted with the high quality and modern education of the Stirling Schools in Iraq and KRI. The meeting also involved discussions on the coordination and future projects and developments of the education process in the Kurdistan Region, Iraq, and the broader region.
We are proud to host the ALECSO and KTU delegations to share our vision for education in the region and looking forward to collaborating in reimagining the education sector.
