Baroness Nosheena Shaheen Mobarik, embarked on a significant journey to the Kurdistan Region of Iraq (KRI) to establish connections with Stirling Schools in the area and engage with key officials. Her itinerary included visits to Tshik International University, as well as Stirling Schools in Erbil and Slemani. Notably, she attended a lunch hosted by the Governor of Erbil, Umed Khosnaw of Erbil, which was graced by the presence of British Consul General James Goldman, Lokman Saed (Director of Education-Erbil), Timothy Fisher (CEO of Stirling Global), Omed Hama (CEO of Stirling Schools Iraq), Dashne Dareem (Senior Trade International Adviser, British Consulate), Haval Sami (Director General of Ishik & Nilufer Schools), and Bnar Kareem (Director General of Kirkuk Cag School).
During her visit, Baroness Mobarik fully immersed herself in the local culture and actively engaged with officials, thereby fostering valuable connections and gaining insightful perspectives.
She received a warm welcome from Slemani's Mayor, Awat Muhammad, and visited Stirling Schools. Additionally, she was hosted for dinner by Governor of Slemani Dr. Haval Abubakir who provided valuable insights about the city during the gathering.
