Daily Reading Time at Stirling Schools
Our students start the school day with Reading Time.
One of the most important goals of our schools is “students learning to learn”. For this purpose, there is a daily reading time of 15 minutes before the first lesson. All students read a book in their classrooms under the supervision of their teachers. Our teachers not only read with them, but teachers who are class supervisors and our subject departments also guide the students in what to read according to their levels and ages.
We believe that it is crucially important for students to gain reading habits in order to reinforce their lifelong achievements. Research and our experience note that reading has a really positive influence on learners in terms of expanding their vocabulary range and increasing their fluency in reading.
