Our Student Achieved Second Place in Rwanga Mathematics Competition 2021

 Remarkable Success by Our Student of Stirling Schools in Halabja

 

Solin Yasin Ahmed of Stirling Schools in Halabja won second place in Kurdistan in Rwanga Mathematics Competition 2021.

 

Rwanga Foundation held the ceremony of the semi-final and final stages of the Mathematics Competition in a live competition where 6 students were competing to win the title of the  ‘Mathematics Champion’.

 

The competition was held in coordination with 6 general directorates of education and consisted of four stages. Only 6 students reached the pre-final stage and competed in the live competition to win the title of the ‘Mathematics Champion’ on the level of the Kurdistan Region. 

 

We congratulate our student, her parents, and dedicated teachers for this great achievement.

 

We would like to also thank and express our great appreciation to Mr Soran Omer, General Director of Education of Halabja, for his valuable support and encouraging our finalist with his presence in the final stage of the competition and in the awarding ceremony.

 

Mathematics Competition, which is organized annually by Rwanga Foundation in coordination with the Ministry of Education in the Kurdistan Region, aims to encourage and motivate students to attend the science stream. The project creates a competition among 10th-grade students all over the Kurdistan Region to compete and win the title of ‘Mathematics Champion’ in Kurdistan.

 

This year, the competition started on June 15, 2021, on the level of the ministry of education in the Kurdistan region with the participation of six general directorates, 374 students participated representing 374 schools and 36 Directorates of Education from all over the Kurdistan Region. In the first stage of the competition, only 60 students advanced to the second stage.

 

Stirling Schools support and prepare their students for national and international science and mathematics competitions to contribute to their development academically and socially.
