Stirling Schools cares about the character education and strives to grow students academically successful with a good character. Stirling Schools Values Curriculum is the core of the character education from kindergarten to grade 12.
Stirling Schools Values Curriculum
Stirling Schools highly believes in the importance of focusing on universal values that are essential to growing academically successful individuals with a good character. Our motto is ‘World Peace through Personal Peace’.
The universal values that we practice in our schools are;
1. LOVING MY SCHOOL
Helping students to enjoy the school as a first step to succeed in studying.
2. KNOWING MY SCHOOL
An environment that is familiar to students is essential for them to accept the school as their second home.
3. PROTECTING SCHOOL EQUIPMENT
Increasing students’ awareness to protect their belongings, others’ belongings, and school’s equipment by means of valuing what they use.
4. FRIENDSHIP
Understanding the meaning of friendship, ability to establish working relationships with friends and protecting our friendship without discriminating against anyone.
5. LOVING OUR PARENTS
Respecting and loving our parents not only at the times they appreciate us but also warn us for our mistakes.
6. TRUTHFULNESS
Putting an effort to tell the truth at all times even if it will cost our beloved ones and us.
7. KEEPING CLEAN
Learning to keep our environment clean and take responsibility to maintain it.

Learning to take care of our hygiene and gaining the habit of being a hygienic person.

Understanding that respecting starts by respecting ourselves, family, school and the community is essential to be able to live together.
14. APOLOGIZING
We, as human beings, tend to make mistakes and hurt people unintendedly. Apologizing is like a gift that we offer to the ones that we hurt. Also, accepting apologies from people is a significant virtue that we all should possess.
15. TOILET ETIQUETTE
Keeping quiet, keeping the privacy, locking the door, never leaving the restroom dirty are some of the rules that we make sure students learn and practice particularly at early stages.
16. SHARING
Sharing is a skill that students need to learn. They learn that giving and sharing what we have will also make others want to do the same.
17. PRESERVING OUR VALUES
Teaching students about their cultures, values, and traditions by organizing cultural events and encouraging students to practice and appreciate their own values.
18. RESPECTING OTHERS' RIGHTS
We teach students to protect their rights and respect others’ rights to be treated fairly. This will make the environment that we live in a better place than we all know the limits and respect for each other.
19. SCHOOL RULES
Learning to live by rules for grown-ups starts from an early age about knowing the school rules. Making students understand that rules are there to protect us and others not to annoy or limit our freedom.
20. WELCOMING DIFFERENT IDEAS
Understanding that if our idea were to be accepted and practised everywhere, we would have a rainbow with a single colour only. Considering others’ opinions as vital as ours makes our world more enjoyable. Learning to give up our idea when there is a better one.

How we organize ourselves and the place we live in reflects our inner world. Being a tidy person will make us happier and more organized. We help students understand and practice the value of tidiness.
22. HEALTHY LIVING
Understanding the meaning of healthy living and how it makes our life better. Knowing about nutrition and differentiating what is right and wrong for ourselves.
23. SAVING
Saving money, time, and energy is an essential skill that we help students to gain and practise through many activities and projects. A fundamental virtue of becoming responsible individuals.
24. PROTECTING ENVIRONMENT
We should protect our environment and explore what we can do as individuals.
25. KINDNESS
Kindness is essential to be loved, respected and making friends. What makes us an unkind person and how it harms us is what we focus on at different levels.
26. RESPECTING ELDERS
Making students understand that respecting elders is extremely important for a prosperous community. Keeping in mind that we would one day become an elder is the motivation we use.
27. PROTECTING YOUNGERS
Studying and living in a safe environment starts by protecting youngers and standing against bullying. We aim to make students feel responsible in their small community.
30. RESPONSIBILITY
It is a general term that is critical in every part of our lives, such as being a responsible citizen, family member, and individual. We aim to make students start taking little responsibilities beginning from an early stage.
31. KEEPING PROMISES
Keeping promises is like keeping our reputation in the school and community. We strive to make students take responsibility when they cannot keep their promises and think twice when making promises.
32. READING HABIT
It is a vital skill that we put a great effort to make students become exceptional readers. Morning reading times and world book day are dedicated to helping students to gain this skill.
33. PLAYING RESPONSIBLY
Behaving responsibly while playing is what we try to teach in our schools. Our duty teachers keep a close distance with the students at the playground and consistently help them to play responsibly.
35. POSITIVE BEHAVIORS
Teaching Stirling Schools Values is ultimately aiming to gain students’ positive behaviour. Assisting students to appreciate the positive response to what they practice and maintaining them until they become their habit.
36. RESPECT
Setting the right model as educators is the first step before we talk about respect for students. Encouraging honesty through respect is what we help students to gain.
37. SELFISHNESS
We try not to focus on the negative terms while trying to improve students’ behaviour through Stirling Schools Values. Nevertheless, there are times that we present these negative terms to students by making them recognise the difference between good and evil. Selfishness wipes out many good virtues that students gain, so we make them aware of this, particularly after school fun time.
39. HELPING OTHERS
We try to make students understand that helping others will give joy to them and make them happy. We have tens of activities that we put students in groups to help each other so that helping can become a habit.
40. BEING PATIENT
Being patient is the first step for anger management. Students get to understand how this skill helps them to be more productive and organized.
41. SPEAKING MANNERS
An essential skill that students need to acquire. Waiting until the other person finishes speaking, speaking with permission in the class, etc. are some of the manners that we focus on with the students.
42. USING TECHNOLOGY & SOCIAL MEDIA RESPONSIBLY
Banning technology or social media is not the right way for today’s youth and younger ones. Instead, we develop awareness on the use of them responsibly. Our philosophy on that is using fire to cook instead of burning a house. So, we show them the positive sides of technology and social media use with a focus on screen time, privacy, and plagiarism.
43. LIVING TOGETHER
Students already live in a culturally rich and diverse environment. Developing an awareness of the art of living together helps students to enjoy their differences in the school and community.
44. ALTRUISM
Egoism and selfishness are all around the world that break up relationships and harm society. One of the remedies to this problem is to make students understand the concept of altruism and how it makes them and the people around them happier. If everyone tries to practice this concept, then we all benefit from the advantages.
45. USING OTHERS' BELONGINGS WITH PERMISSION
We develop a sense of asking for permission before using someone’s belongings, even if it is an eraser.
46. POSITIVE CRITICISM
Freedom of speech is practised in Stirling Schools. Students may freely disagree and confidently express their opinions. What we focus on is that while students speak their mind and disagree with something, we direct them to make it as positive as possible. For instance, asking for an alternative solution when they present a problem.
47. TEAMWORK & COLLABORATION
Lessons, activities, projects, after school activities, field trips, etc. They are all great opportunities for students to collaborate and work in a team.
48. SETTING GOALS
A vital skill that students should gain for their personal and professional life. We practice this with students in lessons and school activities. We prepare our students to be more planned and organized individuals knowing where they sail.
50. DEALING WITH DIFFICULTIES
Life is full of difficulties and challenges. Dealing with difficulty when we work in a team or collaborate on something is the first step to understand how we come up with reasonable solutions. Our teachers supervise the students and assist them with their difficulties.
51. DISCOVERING OUR POTENTIAL
Knowing what we want, and what we can do is significant to succeed in our educational and career path. We analyze every student in our academic briefing, where we reflect on each student and track their progress. We also consult with the parents during home visits to have a better understanding of the students to help them reach their fullest potential.
52. ANGER MANAGEMENT
As we help students to be more patient, we also focus on how they can control or manage their anger. We do not only give seminars on anger management but also assist students in their daily life through our counselling service and homeroom teachers.
53. EMPATHY
Empathy is the ability to connect feelings, thoughts, and behaviour with others to have a clear and complete understanding of their actions. To help students gain this skill, our teachers set a good role model, observe and remind students when necessary.
54. RESPECTING PUBLIC RIGHTS
We develop an awareness of family and individual private life, human rights, respecting the community and their rights.
55. TIME MANAGEMENT
Providing study schedules and helping students to manage their time through activities and home visits. Our homeroom teachers play a vital role in assisting students to manage their time.
56. PLANNING
We teach students effective planning as a significant process to reach their goals. We teach goal setting and planning together.
57. GOSSIPING
We make students understand that gossiping damages trust among people. It is like a virus that can cause the whole community to collapse. So, we develop a sense of understanding in the school that our schools are gossip-free zones.
58. ARROGANCE VS HUMBLE
An arrogant person is not liked in the communities while a humble person is respected. We help students to understand the difference between the two characteristics and the advantages of being humble.
59. SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
We have many community and charity activities to grow our students' socially responsible individuals.
60. PREJUDICES
We make our students understand the terms of prejudice and bias and how it may harm our relationship with others.
61. LOYALTY
Remaining loyal to our family, friends, community, and country is an essential trait that our students need to gain, and we help them to understand this valuable skill.
62. BEING THANKFUL
Being satisfied in our lives entirely depends on being thankful. The sense of thankfulness is an essential manner that we practice in our schools. Our education service ‘To be a Good Person’ helps students to practice this manner.
